Expressions Dance Company is so much more than Queensland's premier contemporary dance company. We also have an extensive Youth and Training Program that has been in place since our very beginnings over 30 years ago.

From the beginning it's been our goal to help build a bright future for young contemporary dancers across Australia, providing them with opportunities to be makers of dance as well as learning the skills to be a dancer and creating vital pathways and connections for them to follow their dancing dreams.

And now, in 2017, we are thinking big. And you can help.

Your support will enable EDC to pilot a contemporary youth dance company. The pilot program will provide a base from which to ensure the success of a fully-fledged youth company in the coming years, catering to young dancers from all over the country and giving them a leg up to their future dance careers.

Young people aged 12 and up will receive training and performing opportunities like none other in Australia.

Don't forget that EDC is a registered charity and any donation you make over $2 is tax deductible. Your support before 30 June 2017 will help dreams come true for aspiring young dancers. Here’s some idea of what your generous donation will make happen:

Weekly training session by EDC Dancer - $150

A regional or CALD* participant to attend -$300

A mini documentary for archive and publicity - $650

A guest dancer/choreographer - $1000

A teaching artist's wage for length of pilot - $2500

Costume and set design for performance outcome - $4000
