Help EDC take Australian Contemporary Dance to China
Last year we were fortunate to have the experience of travelling to Guangzhou to collaborate with Guangdong Modern Dance Company in creating Black. You may have seen the work in Brisbane in February; it was certainly a special moment for both companies and the audiences loved it.
In November this year, EDC returns to China to rekindle the special friendships made (our dancers have even started learning Mandarin!) and perform at the Guangdong Modern Dance Festival. Immediately following the Festival we will be touring the region and with your help, providing workshops for the young local dancers along the way. We are excited to have the chance to share a little bit of Australian culture through our contemporary dance classes, and provide a meaningful connection with each of the local communities.
We can't wait to share this special collaborative production with Chinese audiences - they will experience something that goes far beyond what can be created by just one company. We'd love you to be a part of this special journey, and through your donation hundreds of young Chinese dancers will have an opportunity to attend dance workshops with us.
We believe in the power of dance to have the potential to culturally change the way we view each other. Together, with your support, let's start the conversation.
EDC is a registered charity and your donation is tax deductible.
