SUSTAINABILITY (both weeks) is a vital factor for any dance artist and the BCDI will focus on ways to improve health and enhance body awareness as well as giving you tools for planning your career and marketing yourself. Information and workshops will form a part of both BCDI weeks.

CREATIVITY (11 – 15 January 2016) will focus on you as a creative and responsive dancer and help you develop the tools to better work with choreographers and creators. Guest artists will share the qualities, skills and tools you need to be a dancer who attracts choreographers, as well as those you need to be a creator yourself. The week will be inspiring, challenging and incredibly practical for those seeking a career as a contemporary dancer.

ABILITY (18 – 22 January 2016) will focus on refining your technical facility as a contemporary dancer.   The program will feature guest teachers, alongside the EDC dancers, who will work with you to strengthen your ability as a contemporary dancer focusing on technique, floor work, and contact work. This week of training is the perfect way to give you increased confidence as a dancer, and to ensure you are focusing on the right technique for the optimum result.

The BCDI program is offered across two levels: Aspire (ages 13+) and Momentum (ages 17+ tertiary students). You can choose to participate in one or both of the weeks.

You'll get the chance to work with some of Australia's most respected dance artists including:
