Queensland Ballet featuring the EDC Ensemble

Presented by Queensland Ballet

A creative intersection of art forms

Bespoke challenges assumptions about what dance is, what dancers can do, and how dance is experienced.

It is a place where artists inspire each other to create groundbreaking, thought-provoking and relevant new works.

In 2018, Queensland Ballet presents new works by independent contemporary dance maker, Gabrielle Nankivell and rising talent from QB’s own ranks, Jack Lister. Bespoke will begin outside the theatre with visual artists from film, photography and sculpture creating a sensory dance experience.

Bespoke features the artists of Queensland ballet and six contemporary dancers from the EDC ensemble. The EDC ensemble will perform in one piece choreographed by Gabrielle Nankivell.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
